 Hopkins has been a valuable consultant to the U.S. Department of State over the course of several administrations and embassy building initiatives. Before 9/11 we worked primarily on new design-bid-build projects. Since then, Hopkins has designed the food service space for the Standard Embassy prototype and has been the food service design consultant for several new embassy and consulate projects. We have also been asked to advise Overseas Building Operations (OBO) on non-project-specific matters. Careful handling of sensitive but typically unclassified documents according to OBO secure procedures for storage, disposal, and communication has become standard operating procedure at Hopkins.
