“Richard has been a bright light, leading the charge of the project. We just didn’t think we could do it, but Richard stepped in and showed us the way. Richard – I can’t thank you enough for all you are doing to help us launch the dining services today.  I gave copies of your “menu planning” e-mail to Bon Appetit yesterday.  They told me that they are thrilled to be working in such a fabulous facility – they were all up to their elbows in soapy water at the pot wash sinks.”

-Lynne Feely, AU Facilities Department

“In 1998 Sodexho, a big European firm bought out this division of Marriott and I was given these operations to run. This first thing I thought of was that whoever did the design was way ahead of their time, particularly in the design of the mis en place, and the flexibility of the stations. Now everybody is trying to get to that. It continues to show extremely well even after 5 years. In the last 60 days particularly visitors from all over the world have been going to the new headquarters in Gaithersburg.  It seems that every one of those visitors is directed here for a tour.  So we have had a lot of opportunities to show off the place.”

-Mark Hamlin, Foodservice Director, Sodexho Marriott.
